The Cleveland Cardz Difference
No Per-Item Fees. No Tiered Rates.
Other auction houses stack per-item fees and tiered commissions that eat into your profits. We charge one flat 8% — and that's it.

- $0 listing fee — no per-item charges

Only four of these are optional — everything else comes out of the sale itself, never out of your pocket. There are no hidden fees, and nothing optional is ever required.
Commission 8%
Flat rate on the final sale price — no tiers, no sliding scale. A competitive rate, on average lower than the industry standard.
Express Processing Optional$2/item
Moves processing to 3–5 business days instead of the standard 7–14. Skip it and nothing changes. Note: excessively large submissions may take longer than this average timeline.
eBay Reserve Fee Optional$5 upfront
Only if you set a reserve. The remainder — if 7.5% of the sale price exceeds $5 (max $250 total) — is deducted from your payout.
Item Withdrawal Fee Optional$0.5 / card
$1 per other item. Only if you pull an item after it has been processed or listed, but before the consignment term ends — it covers photography, listing, and handling work. No fee if the item sells or the term expires.
Consignment Extension Fee Optional$5/batch
Only if you choose to extend your consignment period beyond the standard 90 days. Covers storage and handling for the extended period.
eBay Final Value Fee 13.25% / 2.35%
13.25% for items $7,500 and under, 2.35% for the amount over $7,500, plus $0.30/order ($0.40 for items under $10). Deducted from payout for items sold on eBay.
CollX FVF (BIN items) 8%
CollX Final Value Fee for Buy it Now items sold on the CollX marketplace. Deducted from payout. BIN items are listed across 3 marketplaces: clevelandcardz.com, CollX, and eBay.
CC Merchant Processing Fee 4.3%
Credit card processing fee for items sold directly on clevelandcardz.com. Charged by the card processor, not Cleveland Cardz. Deducted from payout.
What's deducted from your payout
- • Commission (8% of final sale price — a competitive rate, on average lower than the industry standard)
- • eBay final value fee: 13.25% for items $7,500 and under, 2.35% for items over $7,500, plus $0.30/order ($0.40 for items under $10) — deducted from payout, nothing due at submission
- • CollX Final Value Fee: 8% for Buy it Now items sold on CollX — deducted from payout
- • ClevelandCardz.com merchant processing fee: 4.3% for items sold directly on our website — covers credit card processing costs
- • eBay Reserve Fee remainder (if 7.5% of the sale price exceeds the $5 paid upfront)
- • Promotional costs (if any)
The only payment due at submission is the $5 eBay Reserve Fee (if you set a reserve) and any optional express processing fee. Everything else is deducted from the gross sale before your net payout is calculated.
The only optional fees we have
- • Express processing — skip it and keep our standard 7–14 business day timeline
- • eBay reserve fee — skip it and your auction simply starts at market
- • Item withdrawal fee ($0.50 per card · $1 per other item) — skip it by letting your items sell or the 90-day term run out
- • Consignment extension fee — skip it by letting the term end instead of extending
None of these are required. Choose them or don't — your payout is unaffected otherwise.
How You Get Paid
You choose your payout method in Settings: PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or check. The payout account must be in your own name and match the consignor name on your submission — we cannot pay accounts registered to anyone else. If we don't have a valid payout account for you, we'll mail a check to your address on file within 3-5 business days. Payouts are issued after the buyer dispute window closes — 3 days for sports cards, 30 days for other items.
